Prove the session
Run timed trials with new players and refine the briefing, driving time and changeover.
The first home
The working prototype exists. The next step is turning it into a dedicated six-player attraction in Shrewsbury.
A real venue for a real game
The prototype already works. The next step is giving it a home.
Asphalt Arena is a physical multiplayer game experience. Players control real battery-powered RC cars from stationary driving stations while the arena runs objectives, timers and scoring.
The first dedicated installation is planned for Shrewsbury. A suitable unit has not yet been secured, so the venue and opening date will be announced when they are confirmed.
What happens next
The aim is to make the experience easy to start, exciting to watch and ready to replay.
Run timed trials with new players and refine the briefing, driving time and changeover.
Finish and test the installation so six players can enter the same live game.
Adapt the arena to a suitable unit and prepare regular bookable public sessions.
The campaign plan
The campaign is being prepared to help complete the installation, cover the first year’s rent and fund essential opening costs.
The working format
The current planning assumption is a 30-minute booking per player, with approximately 25 minutes of driving and five minutes for briefing and changeover.
That format will be tested with new players before it is treated as final. The first installation is planned for up to six players.
